Baby Avengers Cookie Pops

These super cute cookie pops were a goodie bag item for a Baby Avengers-themed party, for a little boy celebrating his 1st birthday.

They are sugar cookies decorated with fondant and Avengers-inspired edible images. Using PowerPoint, I drew the items that favourite Avengers characters are associated with, like Thor's hammer, Iron Man's arc reactor, Captain America's iconic shield and the Hulk's radioactive sign.

The rest of the cookies were decorated with super cute edible images designed by the birthday boy's mummy!

Usually when I make cookie pops, I stick the lollipop stick in the cookie cut out before baking the cookie. But this time, I totally forgot! Solution: use some royal icing to glue the stick onto the already baked and decorated cookie. It ain't pretty, but it works.

I let the cookies dry overnight in an air-conditioned room, to make sure that the royal icing dried hard. Don't want cookies falling off their sticks! Each cookie pop was individually packaged in cellophane, cuz they were going in the goodie bags for the guests to take home after tomorrow's party.
