Canada cakesicles |
It's definitely been an exciting (& stressful) last few weeks in Singapore, stress-packing and preparing for the big move over, but I made sure to make these Canada flag funfetti cakesicles to bring over with us to Canada!
The super hot summer has caused lots of forest fires in BC's interior, creating haze which makes photos looks very yellowish. The air quality in the city isn't the greatest right now, but it is nowhere near as bad as Singapore's haze when the Indonesians are burning garbage and the wind blows that over. PSI levels over 100 means that we gotta limit our times at the playground. Nobody wants to be breathing in those haze particles. I don't really see anyone wearing N95 masks here like they do in Singapore
Good Morning, Vancouver! |
Anyway, back to the cakesicles! They safely made it almost 13,000 km across the Pacific Ocean, 20 hours later all in one piece! I had packed them in a lock n lock box and hand-carried them on the plane, with a stopover in Taipei.
Here are the cakesicles with a view the Cambie St. bridge and downtown Vancouver at Spyglass dock in the False Creek area. Man, it feels great to be home!
