Winx Club Cupcakes

Now here's a new theme for me: Winx Club. It's an Italian animated series about fairies. My girls are still too young to appreciate this cartoon, though I'm sure they'll catch up in a couple of years.

So these Winx Club cupcakes are for a young lady's birthday celebration at school. I have  had the pleasure of making her and her brother birthday treats for a couple of years now, and I'm so happy that her mummy came back to me again this year for her birthday.

The cupcakes are a dozen each of vanilla and chocolate, frosted with hot pink-dyed vanilla Swiss meringue buttercream and decorated with lots of yummy Candyfetti Birthday Cake sprinkles. I love Candyfetti sprinkles cuz they're not just sprinkles; they are candy! And the company that makes them, Sweets Indeed, doesn't just take different sprinkles from different suppliers and mix them together. They actually manufacture each and every sprinkle in their candy factory!! No wonder they taste amazing.

To tie these cupcakes into the Winx Club theme, I got customized paper toppers from All Mommy Wants! I love all the different characters and rainbow colours!
