Gingerbread Men and Christmas Cupcakes

The smell of cinnamon, nutmeg and ginger really puts me in a festive mood. Trust me when I say that the place smelled like Christmas when these Gingerbread Men were baking in the oven!!

I got to whip up these Gingerbread Men and Christmas cupcakes for an office Christmas party. Christmas is the only time that I ever really get to make Gingerbread (and the odd Wookiee cookies for a Star Wars party), so I love busting out the molasses and spices to get these guy baking!

It's exciting to see these guys baking up in the oven, cuz they start out pretty flat and dark, but then they bake up to a lighter brown and so darn poufy cute! Plus, come on, they smell sooo good. Hope you've busted out your stockings and put up the tree, cuz there are only 3 days til Christmas!!

To decorate these guys, I used red peppermint m&m's for the buttons (I love the peppermint m&m's cuz there are only red and white ones in the pack!), Wilton's Christmas tree sprinkles for the bowtie and royal icing for the white details.

The cupcakes were Valhrona chocolate cupcakes dressed up Christmas style. Hello, Rudolph! Definitely a great addition to an office Christmas party!
