Science-themed Cupcakes

It's refreshing that the birthday girl is a having a Science-themed birthday instead of the usual girl themes like Hello Kitty or Peppa Pig. Science rocks! I'm a science geek too. Loved Chemistry as a kid and made up my mind in Gr. 6 that I wanted to be a Chemical Engineer. Haaa!

Science...science... of course, beakers, test tubes, the periodic table and Albert Einstein come to mind! The cupcakes are vanilla cupcakes with a tye-dye effect using electric purple, electric green and blue. The frosting is vanilla buttercream dyed the same colours. 

The toppers are made of fondant, and I used green and blue piping gel for the ooze coming out of the tops of the test tubes and beakers. A black Americolour Gourmet Food Writer was used to draw on the details.
