Angry Birds Cookies

After learning that his sister helped to make the Hello Kitty cookies, my son asked if he could make cookies too..Angry bird cookies, that is! Have to be fair right?

So on Sunday afternoon, both he and his sister helped to whip up a batch of Angry Bird cookies! They are sugar and spice cookies which have cinnamon, nutmeg, ginger and all spice in them instead of just regular sugar cookies. These cookies smelled sooo good while they were baking in the oven. And they taste like Christmas!

Whipping up the royal icing, tinting it 4 different colours, making each colour 2 different consistencies, and then decorating the cookies with one hand was a big challenge! My left arm was very sore indeed, since the fussy baby refused to be put down!

My kids couldn't wait to sink their teeth in the finished cookies! And they generously even offered to share some with their classmates at school :)
