Bite-sized pink vanilla cupcakes |
The cupcakes were vanilla cupcakes, frosted with vanilla Swiss meringue buttercream dyed light pink. I used Wilton piping nozzle 4B, making these little cupcakes look like gems biscuits!
Too cute to eat! |
I sprinkled some gold foil stars on top for a touch of twinkle star. I can't believe how expensive a small tube of these gold foil stars are compared to regular star-shaped sugar sprinkles! Sheesh!

The cupcakes are indeed bite-sized, with each one only being made out of 2 tsp of cupcake batter! They're the perfect size for little toddlers. In fact, I've noticed that out of all the other items on a dessert table, people usually don't choose to eat a cupcake at first, because they are daunted by the size, especially full-sized cupcakes! But these little cuppies are small enough to eat in one bite (hence, bite-sized!) that they'll be scooped up quickly, especially by tiny fingers!
packed and ready to party |
To go with the cupcakes, I also made 2-bite fudge brownies, drizzled with Nutella and decorated with pink and white nonpareil sprinkles and gold sugar stars.

The cupcakes and brownies went on this sweet Twinkle Twinkle Little Star-themed dessert table, styled by My Sweet Secrets. The mini cupcakes were an additional treat on the table, as a thank you to all the wonderful mummies since it also happened to be Mother's Day! Love the bright pink and gold colour scheme, with lots of happy little stars all over!
