Tsum Tsum Cupcakes

Tsum Tsum again! I happily spent two late nights last week clearing the latest Tsum Tsum villain challenge the game makers released for Halloween. Yep, proud Tsum Tsum addict right here. So when I get the opportunity to make anything Tsum Tsum-related, the answer is usually yes!

Tsum Tsum Cupcakes

Actually, I also got to make a smash cake for the birthday boy's smash cake photoshoot last month: a simple ombré yellow fresh cream roses cake cuz his mummy was not too keen on having a blue-cream stained baby :P I also made a fondant rainbow number one to go on top of the smash cake.

Anyway, the cupcakes are vanilla cupcakes, with a swirl of vanilla Swiss meringue buttercream on top.

Each Tsum Tsum character fondant topper was cut out, one ear and one eyeball at a time, using an assortment of circle cutters, the back of piping tips, the front of piping tips, free-hand moulded etc. You get the picture. No silicone moulds or tsum-tsum specific cutters in my possession for this purpose.

I let the toppers dry completely in aircon overnight, so that they would be nice and stiff on top of the cupcakes. If they're not dry, they would likely flop over the edges of the frosting.

3 hairs on Goofy!

Overall I think my fave character this round is Olaf! He just looks so cute! Ok so it's a toss-up between Olaf and Eeyore :P

Olaf is too cute!

The birthday boy's mummy DIY'd the dessert table and even handmade the awesome light blue tutu table skirting! Here are a few pics she shared of our Tsum Tsum cupcakes, along with the other desserts on the table. She even saved the fondant rainbow no. 1 from the smash cake and put it on top of the cupcake stand! Happy 1st Birthday Issac!
