"Rubber Ducky, you're the one. You make bathtime lots of fun!" Many of us remember Ernie's catchy bath time tune from when we were growing up, and it's still showing on Sesame Street these days! Naturally, these really "cute and yellow and chubby" bath toys are a perfect theme for a baby's first birthday celebration!

Rubber Duckies Macaron Tower cake |
I made a 2-tiered cake which was the perfect platform for Milleaville's super cute rubber duckies macaron tower! Both tiers are 5 layers of vanilla rainbow cake, filled with vanilla Swiss meringue buttercream and decorated with shades of blue buttercream. Too bad I didn't take any pictures of the rainbow layers inside while assembling the cake.
I used round piping nozzle no. 12 for the fun buttercream bubbles all round the cake. The birthday boy's name was cut out of yellow fondant using letter cutters.

Support dowels are in both tiers, which are necessary to support the weight of the cake and macaron tower. Without the dowels, we risk the cake collapsing!

"Rub-A-dub-dubby" |
To finish the cake, Milleaville arranged some rubber ducky macarons around the front, and placed a small macaron tower on top. Hooray for another great collaboration. The rubber duckies are just too cute!
The celebration was held at White Tangerine Café at D'Resort. Lucas' mummy and daddy did a great job setting up the cake table with lots of fun rubber ducky treats and goodies bags, complete with rubber ducky air walker balloons! Happy 1st Birthday, Lucas!
