These Winnie the Pooh Tsum Tsum Desserts were for a baby boy celebrating his first month. I got to make cookies, macarons, cake pops and cupcakes.

Pooh Tsum Tsum Sugar Cookies |
The cookies are vanilla-lemon sugar cookies, decorated to match the artwork on the party banner. Pooh Tsum Tsum has a prince's crown and a little pacifier, just like on the banner.

Winnie the Pooh Macarons |
The macarons were suppose to just be standard yellow and red macarons, but I wanted to practice making Pooh macarons again. I still had issues with slightly detached paws after baking, but not as bad as the first time I made them! I made the back macarons red, which is a nice contrast to the yellow, and because Winnie the Pooh wears a red shirt! The macarons were filled with dark chocolate ganache and smoked salted caramel.

The cake pops were strawberry cake, dipped in white chocolate dyed red, and decorated with a yellow fondant D (the baby's initial). I'm glad these guys came out without any streaking in the chocolate. I've had that happen in the past and apparently it's because I over-heated the chocolate. If you do accidentally over-heat your chocolate, just add more melted chocolate (a new batch) into the one you've over-heated and stir. Do a test dip and see if there are still streaks. If not, you're good to go! If there are still streaks, add more melted chocolate. There's not much you can do about the streaks that are already on you cake pops though, unless you do another coat of chocolate.
The cake pops fit nicely under the dome of my 3-tiered cake pop holder from Nordic Ware. I don't really like this stand very much cuz even though it technically holds 37 cake pops, only 20 fit under the dome (when using 6" sticks)! And it can only hold standard lollipop sticks. The cake pops do look cool under there though, when viewed from the top.

The cupcakes were chocolate and red velvet cupcakes, frosted with vanilla Swiss meringue buttercream and decorated with assorted sprinkles in the same colour scheme.

The cookies, macarons, cake pops and cupcakes were part of this Winnie the Pooh Tsum Tsum-themed dessert table, put together by One and Only Gallery. It was a sweltering hot and humid day and the party was outdoors, so there were issues with the chocolate melting off of the cake pops! Darn this tropical heat and humidity!
