These blue and white cupcakes were for a birthday boy's school celebration. His mummy had seen some of my posts on Instagram and thought it would be great if I could whip up some cupcakes for her son.

The cupcakes are technically "Neapolitan" flavours: chocolate, strawberry and vanilla! Everything was frosted with swirls of vanilla Swiss meringue buttercream, and topped with sprinkles and crunchy chocolate balls.

The one thing I forgot to mention was that blue buttercream really stains ones mouth!! This stuff takes a while before it washes off! And don't be scared the next day, when you have a green surprise waiting for you in the washroom, cuz this stuff will turn your poop green! Haaaa! So, if you don't want a funky blue-stained mouth, lips, tongue etc, go for pastel colours! (red and black are equally as staining!) Staining aside though, the cupcakes were well-received, so I'm happy to hear that!
