Super Red Space Angry Bird Cake

Dominic had a 3D Super Red Space Angry Bird Cake to celebrate his 5th birthday at school. We had to continue with the Space Angry Birds theme from his birthday party.

Super Red Angry Bird

It is a blackout chocolate cake, filled with chocolate buttercream. The base cake was decorated in vanilla buttercream, dyed green and piped to look like a patch of grass. The Super Red Bird sitting on top is the same chocolate cake, decorated in dyed vanilla buttercream. 

The bird's eyes, beak, hair & tail made out of Jacob's Cream Crackers, cut to the correct shape and covered in more vanilla buttercream! The details aren't as refined as fondant, but the birthday boy and his classmates were very happy with the cake! Most of them had a second helping!
