Golf Ball Cake

What better way to get on your boss' good side than to get him a surprise birthday cake to celebrate his birthday at the office? And a 3D golf ball on a patch of grass birthday cake to boot!

Weighing in at 3.3kg, this cake was a Devil's Chocolate Food Cake filled with whipped dark chocolate ganache and iced with vanilla buttercream. The "dents" on the ball were made using a ball tool dipped in cornstarch. The "grass" was piped using a no. 133 piping tip.
