Tokidoki Space-Mozarella Cookies |
Anyway, since the party was to celebrate her son's first birthday, the mummy came up with a Space-Mozzarella theme! At first she was worried that cuz Mozz is a girl, it wouldn't be suitable for a boy's birthday, but it's really no worries cuz Mozz's colours are blue, white and cow pattern anyway, so it's all good!

So anyway, I got to make these cookies for the celebration, with elements of both space and Mozzarella. I went with a rocket ship, an astronaut, stars, the moon and Mozarella! Most of the shapes were hand-cut using a knife, with a printed image template for a guide.
texture on the moon! |
My fave, though, is the moon. I was able to achieve the texture on the cookies by allowing the flood to surface dry, and then going back to rough up the texture using a toothpick.
blast off with these Space-Mozz cookies! |
I still had enough "space" wrapping paper leftover from way back with I used it to make a Little Prince cake pop stand, and this made for the perfect backdrop for the cookies! If a blanket or bedsheet or pillow case was made out of this print, I'd totally be all over them!
Anyway, the birthday boy's mummy set up her own DIY Tokidoki dessert table, with the Space-Mozz cookies being part of the dessert offerings. I love how the table turned out (cuz I'm partial to blues and boy themes :P) Who knows, maybe tokidoki will release a space version after seeing this!
Happy 1st Birthday, Warren! |
