Baptism Cake Pops

It was Gabi's baptism day! To celebrate, we held a luncheon at Felicos Greek Restaurant after the baptism ceremony at Precious Blood Roman Catholic Church. It's funny that my friends think that every time we're in town, it's either to announce another addition to the family, or to have one of the kids baptized! Haaa.

For the giveaways, we took Polaroids of all the guests throughout the party, stuck them onto magnetic frames and packaged them in small pink organza bags. And, of course, we had to have cake pops too! Cake pops are great because the cake can be prepared way in advance and frozen.

The pink cake pops are made out of raspberry-white chocolate cake, with whole frozen raspberries in the batter! The white cake pops are made out of matcha green tea cake. All I had to do the night before the party was take them out of the freezer and dip them in melted white chocolate, roll them in coloured sugar/sprinkles and package them up.

I also made these customized circular tags for the cake pops, which were threaded through the metallic pink twisty ties that were used to tie off the individual cellophane bags that the cake pops were in. My sister kindly helped to tie off every single one of these 75 cake pops. She has such quick fingers! Must be cuz they're tinier my clunky fingers.

Happy Baptism Day, Gabi!
